During quarantine, I have been snacking a lot, so I thought I'd share my favorite healthy snacks ideas! All of these are very simple to make and delicious. Hope you enjoy!

Slightly sweet roasted pecans

I love candied pecans, but they are way to sugary to be healthy, so I reduce the sugar.

1. preheat oven to 250 degrees F

2.whip one egg white until frothy

3.combine 1 pound of pecan halves with the egg whites

4. combine 1/8 cup of sugar to the pecans

5. add around 1-2 teaspoons of cinnamon and combine

6. lay evenly on a baking sheet and cook them for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes

Roasted broccoli with parmesan cheese

These are amazing and very filling! They are perfect if you craving some sort of crackers or chips.

apples and peanut butter

I love having apples and peanut butter/almond butter when I'm craving something sweet. This also makes for a great post workout snack since it is filling and has a good amount of protein.

microwaved fruit (pie filling)

This is one of my absolute favorite things to have for desert. I microwave frozen mixed berries(blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries) with 1/4 tablespoon of sugar and a squeeze of lemon for around two minutes. This tastes just like pie filling minus all the sugar! I also sometimes put cornstarch after heating to thicken it, but if you do that do not add the lemon juice.

mango sorbet

This is so refreshing and a great alternative to ice cream! I combine frozen mango and almond milk in the blender and blend until it is smooth! If you'd like extra sweetness add agave syrup, honey, or any other sweeter. I then top it with sweetened shredded coconut!

strawberry mint lemonade

This has been a summer staple for me ever since we started growing mint in our backyard! It is so refreshing and although it is a bit sugary, I still consider it somewhat healthy. Combine around 4 cups of lemonade, about 1 cup of frozen or fresh strawberries, and around 5 mint leaves in the blender. You can also blend ice with it as well. If you don't have lemonade I will combine lemon juice, water and honey. I sometimes do this recipe with raspberries as well.

strawberries and chocolate hummus

This is like a healthier version of chocolate covered strawberries. I simply dip fresh strawberries into chocolate hummus, which is from Trader Joe's. Chocolate hummus may sound unappealing, but trust me, it is delicious!

goat cheese and honey on crackers or bell peppers

Goat cheese and honey on almost anything is so delicious! I like to spread goat cheese on multigrain crackers and drizzle honey on it. If you have more time, try roasting bell peppers(I prefer the mini ones), and put the goat cheese and honey on top of them.

mozzarella cheese with basil and tomato

Slice mozzarella cheese and top with slice tomatoes and basil. I also like to put olive oil or balsamic vinaigrette on top!

I hope you all found something that you'd like to try out!
