With this Pandemic now hitting the United states, I have found myself searching for things to keep myself entertained! I know that these are challenging times, so here are some fun ideas that might bring some happiness to these trying times! Enjoy!

1. Sewing!

I have always wanted to learn how to sew, so what better time than now? You could upcycle(improve/redo) old clothes to make them something you love. I thrift shop A LOT (maybe too much), so I have many pieces that need some alterations. Grab a sewing machine and look up some ideas online. If you are feeling extra adventurous, you could try making a piece from scratch. I'd suggest using a pattern if you are less experienced!

here are some ideas:

You could even embroider some old jeans!

2. Outdoors adventures

Although we are all told to practice social distancing and avoid public places, that doesn't mean that we can't enjoy the natural beauty around us!

-Go to the beach

Go on a walk with friends or family or just sit and enjoy nature

-Go on a hike into the mountains

-Have a picnic in nature with friends or family

3. Bake something

Search up recipes for cookies, muffins, or anything sweet.

Some of my personal favorites include:

Flan

snickerdoodles

apple crisp

key lime pie

lemon bars

Pumpkin muffins (the mix from Trader Joe's is the best!)

4. Organize/ Redo your room

With this extra time, it is the perfect opportunity to organize your room. Find new ways to arranged it and get rid of things that you don't need anymore. You could also go through your closet and give away clothes that you don't wear anymore or organize it by color.

5. Declutter Electronics

Currently, my iPhone storage is running out and I have tons of emails piling up. A great idea would be to go through photos and delete ones you don't need to open up storage. Also, you could organize your google drive into folders or go through and delete emails.

6. Plan an imaginary trip

Where in the world would you love to go right now? Although you might not be able to go today, maybe one day you will. Choose a location, a hotel, and create a detailed itinerary. You could even add up the total cost and start saving for that trip now. Record all the details of your trip and then maybe you could use it when you want to travel somewhere!

7. Outfit ideas

Got through your closet and put together outfits that you would like to wear. Lay them out to take pictures of each and add them to an album in your camera roll. You could make different albums for different types of weather/seasons. Next time you don' know what to wear, look at your pictures for inspiration.

8. Paint

Look up pictures online and try to recreate them using your paints. Or you could take picture you have taken and paint it wherever you'd like! I think it is super cute to paint jeans or denim jackets, and you could find some old jeans/ a jacket to paint from the thrift store.

I hope y'all found some fun things to do in this post! Stay safe!
